Specification & OEM Manufacturing — Stancor Copper

Stancor Copper sells copper, brass and cupro-nickel busbars, sheets, strips, rods, tubes and pipes under its own brands, manufactured to Stancor specification by qualified OEM plants in India and China while our own facility is under construction.

Our specification governs

Every item is produced against a Stancor technical datasheet covering alloy, temper, chemistry limits, mechanical and conductivity minimums, dimensional tolerance, surface finish and marking — not the plant's own house standard.

Plant qualification

A plant is used only after its melting, rolling, drawing and testing capability has been assessed against that datasheet, sample heats have been run and its calibration and certification records reviewed.

Inspection at source

Heats are witnessed by our engineer or a nominated third-party agency before despatch, covering dimensions, surface, marking and packing. Customer-nominated third-party inspection is arranged on request.

Certification

An EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate traceable to the heat travels with every despatch, with measured test results rather than textbook values for the alloy.

• Free cutting, forging, naval and cartridge brass in rod, hexagon, sheet and strip
• 90/10 and 70/30 cupro-nickel tube, pipe, plate, fittings and flanges for seawater
• Phosphor bronze strip, sheet and rod for springs, contacts and bushes
